Helping God's Creation through Exercise

In Michigan at a homeless shelter, people are welcome to workout on 10 specially designed cycles which when used put electricity back into the building. In Arizona, female inmates work out on bicycles to watch their favorite soaps. Many people are doing their part to help the enviroment.

By exercising on specially desighned excersice machines, we are helping enviromental needs throughout our community. We all need to do our part in this experiment and many others to save the world for future generations. Many people take our world for granted, and only a few of us really understand what kind of crises we are going through. What we personally think is that that everyone is capable of accomplishing this task, that it is selfish of people to abuse the world the way they do, and that though people say that they will "go green", some don't always persue the action. Unlike most people the residents at the homeless shelter have created a fun, and healthy way to go green. In our world today, it is difficult for people to come up with ways to help the world, but if we all work together to do our job as God's creations, we can achieve our goal. Protecting the world is an important job that should not be taken lightly, as seconds go by everyday animals die of pollution. Many say I don't know whats going on, but it is simple, we are killing our world. There are many ways to save our world, but this is just one of our examples.

  2. I love the use of examples like the bicycling inmates. That's a really cool way of explaining to other how they could help while being entertained. But, I think you could have elaborated on what specific Catholic Social Teaching this pertains to (care for God's creation).
